How accurate are the estimates?
RenoBeam has not launched, so there are no published accuracy figures yet. The design goal: estimates structured the way working contractors actually price jobs — itemized labor, materials, and quantities, adjusted to your region — meant as a strong, defensible starting point. Every line will be editable, so you can apply your own rates and job-specific knowledge before anything goes to a client.
What do I need to capture?
The planned capture is a handful of photos covering each wall of the space, plus a short walkthrough video — under a minute should be plenty. Any modern phone camera will work. No laser scanner, measuring hardware, or special app training required. Uploading is not live yet.
I'm a homeowner, not a contractor — is RenoBeam for me?
Yes — that is one of the audiences RenoBeam is being built for. The idea is that homeowners get an honest ballpark for a renovation before ever calling a contractor, so you walk into every conversation knowing roughly what the work should cost. It is not open yet; join the waitlist and we will tell you when it is.
Does RenoBeam work outside the United States?
RenoBeam is being built for a worldwide audience. Regional price adjustment is designed to tune labor and material baselines to your market, and you will be able to override any rate with your own price book. Plans are expected to be billed in USD. Nothing is live in any country yet.
Can I edit line items or use my own prices?
That is the plan: every line item editable before you send an estimate. On the Crew and Firm plans, price-book customization is designed to let you set your own labor rates and material costs once, and have RenoBeam apply them to every estimate after that.
What happens to my photos and videos?
Today there is nowhere to upload a photo or video on this site, so we hold none of your job-site media. When capture launches, your uploads will be used to generate your estimates and stay in your account, will never be sold, and will be deletable at any time. What we collect right now is covered in our privacy policy: just the name, email, and role you enter on the waitlist form.
